The Recreation Department is once again offering its very popular basketball program for boys and girls in grades 3 thru high school.
This is an in-town league where participants practice 1 night a week (6-7pm or 7-8pm) , and play games on Saturdays (between 8am-4pm, depending on the amount of teams). Grades 3&4 play at Chandler gym, Grades 5&6 play at Alden gym, and grades 7&8 play at DMS. Last year the practice schedule was as follows:
Boys grades 3&4: Some teams were on Tuesday, some teams were on Thursday
Boys grades 5&6: Tuesdays
Boys grades 7&8: Tuesdays
Girls grades 3&4: Wednesdays
Girls grades 5&6: Wednesdays
Girls grades 7&7: Wednesdays
We cannot guarantee that this will be the exact schedule again, but we will do our best.
First game will be on December 12th and continue to February 6th. There are no games on December 26th. There will be a game on January 2nd.
No practices during Christmas Break.
Sign ups for Rec Basketball take place Monday, November 2nd through Friday, November 13th. The office will accept registrations M-F from 8am-1pm. There is also a Thursday night registration on November 5th from 6-8pm and a Saturday registration on November 7th from 9-11am. We will accept all registrations for basketball within this 2 week registration period.
