A list of everything that is required on a septic plan. Highly recommended by the Health Agent! Plans are reviewed "in-house". If revisions are needed the Health Agent will call the engineer directly. Massachusetts General Law C. 111 s. 31E allow the Health Agent up to 45 days to act upon a completed application.

Duxbury requires on the septic plan a list of all parcel numbers and street addresses of any property which lies within 150' of the proposed soil absorption system. These procedures will help you identify those properties and their water supply.

Duxbury requires that any abutter that has a drinking water well and whose property falls within 150’ of the proposed leaching area be notified by certified mail and asked to verify the location of their well.

To find out if a parcel is located in a Zone I or Zone II call the Board of Health office at 781-934-1100. A zone of conrtibution map with parcel detail is located on the wall in the Board of Health office.
