May 20 - 26 is EMS week
As EMS practitioners, we are dedicated to serving our local community and providing the best care for our patients. As Chief I wanted to take time out and recognize them and state publicly how fortunate we are to have kind, compassionate professionals providing pre-hospital care here in Duxbury. Last weeks story on the Chain of Survival is a testament to the great work they do and it goes without saying that our members continually impress me with their knowledge, skill and abilities sometimes under very adverse conditions. Help us celebrate EMS week by ensuring your children know how to summon help by using 911 and older children and adults learning basic lay person CPR and how to treat someone who is choking.
