The Duxbury Fire Department is now offering free Child Seat Safety Inspections. Duxbury Firefighters John Sjostedt completed a one week 40 hour Child Seat Safety Technician course. Anyone interested in having your infant or child car seat inspected for free can call the
Duxbury Fire Department business line Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm at 781-934-5693 to set up a time to have your car seat inspected. On average three problems are found during child safety seat inspections. Requirements for the inspection are the manufacturer’s car seat manual if possible; owner’s manual for the vehicle if possible, and the child that will be using the car seat. A certificate from the Duxbury Fire Department will be given at the completion of the inspection.
