Engine 1
Engine 1 is a 1995 Emergency One Sentry custom 1,500 GPM pumper that was purchased in May 1995, and put into service in June. It is powered by a 6 cylinder Cummins 300 HP diesel engine with an Allison 5 speed automatic transmission. It carries 750 gallons of water and 900 feet of 4” hose as well as lesser amounts of 1 ” hose and 2 1/2” hose. It has a Foam-Pro Class A/B foam system and two 20-gallon foam cells. Original cost of this truck was $209,860 less $12,000 for the trade of an older pumper for a net cost of $197,860.00. Replacement cost in same configurations would be about $325,000.00. (Photo by Rob Reardon)
